Corrugated plastic, also known as Coroplast, is the sign blank of choice for inexpensive sign making. Coroplast is a lightweight, corrugated plastic material able to withstand the elements for about 3 years, after which it becomes brittle depending on UV exposure. Is easily secured to windows, doors or walls, exterior or interior surfaces. Good for short term out door solutions., or long term indoor solutions.
Banner Material, a vinyl reinforced material which comes in 3 basic widths, 22", 34" & 46". For digital printed banners, 30" & 54". Custom widths are available. The neatest thing about a banner, is that when you are storing it or transporting it, it takes up very little room. You can tuck it under your arm & walk around with it, unlike boards! Screwed to a wall through grommets, banners can last for several years.
InteFoam is an expanded PVC foam board. This product can be used outside with good results, white lasting the longest. It resists warping if it is hung, but bolted down, it is prone to warping. Its homogeneous core, rigidity, abrasion-resistant matte surface, chemical resistance, and fire retardant capabilities make InteFoam® the ideal material for POP displays, exhibits, and graphic arts applications. Available in 3mm and 6mm.
Inticel is very water resistant, is a PVC material, but like most plastics, it expands and contracts over time. If it is in large pieces and bolted down it will eventually warp. Excellent for signs that are hanging, are 2' by 2' or less and bolted, or mounted in a manner that it can expand and contract. Good for mid term solutions.
Aluminium is very durable, but bends fairly easily when it is in long sections. So when it has plywood backing it is a very durable product. Excellent for signs on walls, thinner aluminium can be used and for free standing signs like stop signs, these types of signs are a good long term solution. Good fro long term solutions.
Econolite is a double sided aluminum sheet, with a water insensitive core and painted face. This is a very strong product, that is very light. Good structural strength, but prone to dents when rocks are thrown at it. Alumalite, is the same board, but painted on both sides. Good for long term solutions.
Dibond is an aluminium composite material. Being aluminium, it last a long time and the centre is a solid rubber core. However, it has much less strength than Econolite or Crezone. Good for long term solutions.
